We will stop by the shophouses and townhouses that were the prevailing form of housing in Singapore's town centre in the early years. We will uncover the ideas that go behind the architecture design of these buildings and how they provided a living for people then.

We proceed to visit a traditional coffee bean shop. Coffee is a daily beverage for most local. We will trace the story behind Singapore's coffee culture and how Singapore coffee differs from western coffee.

We then visit a traditional bakery and discover how the bread, together with coffee created a traditional breakfast combination that owe much to Western influence, but with a twist.

We end at the hawker centre and wet market where locals go to have meals and buy fresh produce/ meat. Over here, one will be able to immerse in the sight, sound and smell at the wet market and be amazed by the variety of affordable local cooked food at the hawker centre.
